Health Certificate Requirement for Ijen Volcano
All visitors to Mount Ijen must show a doctor’s health certificate before entering.
Required since January 2024.
Must state you are fit to hike and free from asthma, heart disease, or serious illness.
Checked at the entrance gate before climbing.
Available from your doctor at home or local clinics in Banyuwangi.
Without a valid health certificate, entry is not allowed.
